Located eight miles from Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain and FDR’s Little White House in Warm Springs, GA. Mountain lookouts, picnic area and FDR State Park Pool are within 3 miles. Entertainment for the entire family available at Butts Mill Farm and Wild Life Safari and fish hatchery. Explore the surrounding areas to find Red Oak Creek Covered Bridge and Fitzgerald Fruit Farm (homemade ice cream- Yum!).
Wine tasting and blueberry farm also within 30 minutes drive.

The TV service and internet service can be unpredictable because of the cabin’s location at the top of the mountain. Please plan accordingly.

My family and I loved Shepherd's Den! We had plenty of room to move around and enjoyed the outside around the cabin. It was really nice coming back to the cabin after a fun day at Callaway Gardens. Highly recommend host & place to stay. Thanks, Larry!

My wife and I stay in airbnbs across the USA. From Washington State to 30A in Florida and are extremely picky. We give reviews honesty. So when we say this is a top 10 for us, it’s a big deal. Considering this is a pet friendly stay, it surely did not smell like one. Very clean. Can’t say we found one dog hair that did not belong to ours. :-)
The beds are wonderful, don’t always get that so thank you! The enclosed area for the dogs was over the top. Considering it was in the 30s when we woke up, just letting them go out the back door was a joy. Parking was very convenient. Most cabins in the mountains require a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Not this one. Right off the main road. Great stay!
